hi im 16 years old, female, 5 2 and about 7stone10. Im healthy, eat well - lots of fruit veg and fish. recently ive been feeling really tired (past couple of months) which is unlike me. ive been trying to sleep a decent amount every night (about 8 hours) but it doesnt seem to be helping. i initially thought of amenia however i went for a blood test before chirstmas as the doctors thought i has glandular fever and so they checked for everything else at the same time, inclding anemia. but he said i have a very healthy blood count. so i dont think im anemic as it surly cant have come on since christmas? thankyou
Tiredness can be a symptom of hypothyroidism. If your total blood count is normal, we can exclude anemia as a possible cause of your actual "feeling tired".
My advice is to do the thyroid tests (TSH, fT3 and fT4) to see if you have any dysfunction of the thyroid gland. At the other side, it is necessary to do even a thyroid ultrasound to see the thryoid structure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
