What Causes Persistent Fever After A Back Surgery?
My husband had back surgery on the 7th of this month and his incision has drained constantly now he is back in the hospital with constant fevers the doctor thinks fluid from the spine is leaking and he goes in for another surgery sunday to repair the damage to the area that s leaking fluid. We are really worried about this I would like to know your thoughts on this matter.
I think this constant fever is sign of infection.
I think the operation wound got infected.
He needs to be examined to see if wound is infected and also a total blood count is needed.
May be he needs to take antibiotics and wound needs to be drained again.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
