What Causes Persistent Fever Despite Taking Medication?

My daughter give treat old has got fever on 10 th evening. Have her calpol since then. But now only by 12am 12aug her temperature came 104 12.30 - 100.5 1.00 am - 102.5 By 12 I have her calpol but her fever went up to 104 so after one hour I have meftal too...

Hello,

Your daughter needs to be given analgesic to control fever. Calpol can be prescribed for her.

Cold sponging also beneficial.

Additionally, you need to investigate her with CBC also further work up.

If CBC shows neutrophilia than antibiotic course should be prescribed.
