Hi Doctor, My neice was getting fever during nights continuously for 3 to 4 days , when we took her to doctor and conducted blood tests malaia and typhoid tests are negative. Doctor has suggested monocef 1g iv/im injection twice a day for 5 days,. we took the dosage for 3 days. Now i want to know whether 2mg /day is too heavy for 4yrs kid.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your coccern for your neice, this could be viral fever and this is too early to put the patient on antibiotic, it would be better to wait for few days before initiating antibiotic, any way this is nothing to worry, every thing would be fine just let the fever run its courese, hope this information helps, take care.
