What Causes Persistent Fever In An Infant Despite Administering Profinal And Adol?

Hello doctors, My son is 10 months old, he has been having a fever for a day and a half now ranging between 38.9 and 39.7 I have been giving him adol suppository and profinal each every 4 hours and still his fever is not dropping more the. 38.9 he also started to have small coughs. What can be done in this case. Thank you in advance.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is having persistent fever in an infant despite administering Profinal and Adol which could be due to viral/ bacterial infection of body and compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to take stress at all. You should take NSAID medication along with antibiotic such as Levofloxacin. You should take plenty of fluids. You should take soft and bland food. You should take fresh juices in diet. Visit general physician once and get it examined. Go for blood tests as well. Start treatment after prescription. You should take proper rest.
