What Causes Persistent Fever Post Treatment For Cold And Colic?

Hi my baby boy is 12 months old.. last to last week he had cold n cough I consulted d doc n he gave some medicines (chericough, fexy, n odoxil) I completed d 5days course of medicine suddenly he started crying non stop one night we again rushed to doc n doctor found that he has colic.he gave medinces for dat (flor, triz, bacigyl, n therabact sachet) as I started giving him these medinces frm d next day I noticed mild fever in eveningn dan turned to high fever from yesterday n its repeating 3times a day..doc has given meftal syrup to control fever...pls doc help wat has happened to my baby...frm last to weeks

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the persistent fever with colic indicates residual effects of viral or bacterial infection os some sort most likely. In my guidance:
- She needs additional antibiotics
- Supportive therapy of meftal spas or other syrup
- Dietary precautions to avoid spices, dairy fat if any
- Plenty of liquids
- Watch for playfulness and urine output

Discuss need of lab tests to get further insight of the cause and possible guidelines of management during next scheduled visit.
