My 23 year old son has the flu now for 7 days with high temperatures of over 38 degrees for the last four days. He has been prescribed antibiotics of TW-Amoxycilln on Monday afternoon, it is now Thursday nite and he still is getting high temperatures. Should I be concerned? He is an appetite still.
HI Well come to HCM If this is viral infection then this would have been come around within this 7 days, now the blood need to be examined on routine basis, the chances of Typhoid may be likely and for that serum Widal test need to be done, in y opinion this can be think about, hope this information helps.
