Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve just noticed in the last week that my face gets all red a few times a day. Since age 19 I have always had heat flashes (Probably from Pituitary Tumor) So I think my face is what they call flushed and I think it is both when I m having a heat flash and when not. Any ideas ? Blood pressure ? Sometimes when I get my blood pressure checked it is Pre Hypertensive. No new drugs. I take to many to want to list.
It can be rosacea. Some advice that I can give you are:
1) Use prescription gel like (Mirvaso); a gel that tightens blood vessels in the skin to get rid of some of your redness.
2) Avoid sunlight, hot or cold temperatures.
3) Avoid wind and stress.
4) Avoid hot baths.
5) Avoid hot or spicy foods or drinks.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
Thank you for the query.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
