What Causes Persistent Headache After Inhaling Fumes From Chemical Spray?
Ive bought spray glitter affect what contains acetone for my radiator the tin I got was faulty an was spraying on ots own just gas coming out this was at 4pm today the fumes are really bad ive a headache an feel sick also my children arw complaining of headaches what should I do
I can understand your concern. Our body is capable of breaking down large amounts of acetone every day as it is always present in nail polish remover, furniture polishing solutions etc. However, the headache you are having is a sign of Acetone poisoning and kids may not be able to detoxify Acetone as efficiently as humans. So it is advisable for you to visit a doctor.
There are no blood tests that can detect acetone poisoning. However, fruit-like odor from breath and presence of ketones in urine can diagnose if you and/or kids are poisoned by acetone and management can be based on the test results.
I would like to caution you against using open flame anywhere near the spraying can. I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you and kids feel better soon!
