What Causes Persistent Headache And Numbness In Head?

My Mother has had a persistent headache (migraine) for a number of weeks, together with pins and needles, and numbness down one side. Sometimes her head feels as though someone is pulling her hair. She was taken into hospital for a few tests as they initially thought she had had a stroke, but all tests proved negative. She is now back home waiting to see a neurologist. I would be very grateful for and opinion you could give. Many thanks Helen

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the cause of headache is migraine. Also remember to check the cervical neck for spondyloarthrosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
