What Causes Persistent Headache Despite Taking Tylenol And Aspirin?
I have a cough that is getting better but for the past two weeks a bad headache comes and goes Its debilitating to an extent I had a double organ transplant two years ago I went to my Neurologist Last Fri and all blood work was good he said to take only 2 Tylenol or aspirin My head is all stopped up too. I wonder if I can take an allergy med?

Emergency Medicine Specialist, Dr. Tim Evans's Response
Hi. You clearly have a significant medical history. You describe a "double organ transplant" but do not go into detail. However, presumably you are taking immunosuppressant medication. Does your neurologist feel that your headache is due to sinusitis or something similar? Do you have symptoms of runny nose/eyes, bunged up nose, intermittent headaches. Or are your symptoms persistent headaches which are resistant to tylenol and aspirin and the worst you have ever experienced, in the absence of other coryzal symptoms? If your symptoms are closer to the latter then raise your concerns with your neurologist or your transplant team as you will need a CT or MRI scan of your head to ensure there is no underlying pathology.
