What Causes Persistent Headache?

Dear Doctor,I am having headach most probably since my birth, I have usual practice to take a pain killer medicine for irs temporary relef. Now, I am having severe pain on my left side head while caughing, the headach is remains continuesly. Kindly suggest me actual medecine to relef it.
