What Causes Persistent Headaches After Sustaining Concussions?

My 32 yr old daughter sustained two concussions minutes apart 9 months ago when bucked off her horse. She still suffers from PCS symptoms such as head ache and some tmes confusion about complex thought processes. She has been prescribed noratrytoline for the head ache. How long does this take to have an effect? Thank you

post concussion syndrome has no fixed time limit. it can last from few months to few years. Its exact cause is not well defined. though it is related to both injury to brain and also psychological factors. it is more common in females. If one medicine at a particular dose is not fully effective, i advise you to visit your doctor again to modify the dose of current medicine or add some other medicine.
