Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Headaches Long After Having Shingles?
My husband gets severe headaches all the time, they have been going on since he had the shingles in 1998. He takes several types of medications and none of them help much. He also was a meth user and snorted it up his left nostril. #1 can they be from using the meth or are they from the shingles. #2 do you know of anything he could do for help. He has had 4 nerve blocks, and 1 1/2 doses of a gamma knife procedure. Please help if you can.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the headache could be due to stress and it is nothing to take anything with virus infection, you have not mentioned what nerve being under compression, neither stated anything about the symptoms related with nerve compression hope this information helps.
