What Causes Persistent Heart Flutters Upon Inhalation Of Bleach Fumes?

I used bleach about 4 hours ago & still feel strange. I went outside ASAP & opened doors for ventilation. I used my enhalers since I have asthma & COPD. I still my heart fluttering. It s 96 outside so I hate to go out. I m using a mask now even though the smell is gone. Would a nap help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It could have triggered asthma as you have history and tendency of allergies so chemical fumes can trigger that. The heart palpitations are one of the most common side effects of asthma medications. Many of these medicines used to open air way can cause fast heart rate or abnormal heart rhythm. You need to have a baseline EKG and to get your medicines reviewed as soon as you seek a Medical facility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
