Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been experiencing heart palpitations for the past few months regularly. I have been to my doctor and the ER, had numerous tests ran, all came back normal. The palpitations are still bothering me but the doctors say they are of no concern. I was wondering what I should gather after all of this? Thank you
I have gone through your question and I will try my best to give you a satisfactory answer.
Increased heart rate can be caused by multiple reasons such as stress or anxiety taking stimulants like caffeine or energy drug use of certain drugs like for e.g drugs for cold or asthma hormonal changes such as in pregnancy or menopause iron deficiency anemia heart disease
I would recommend you consult your local physician for complete clinical history, detailed physical evaluation and further course of treatment.
In the mean time I would suggest you maintain a healthy life style, eat a nutritious diet, avoid strenuous exercise, reduce stress or anxiety and caffeinated products.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
