Hello
Welcome to HCM.

Itching around the anal region in children may be due to intestinal parasites or fungal skin infection.

If I were your treating doctor,I recommend,
-Getting stool test done for diagnosing specific parasite.
Though you say your child has been given anti worm therapy but certain parasites needs specific therapy.Usually it is due to pinworm.Drugs like ivermectin or pyrantel pamoate used to treat it.(prescription drug)

-Suspecting other possibilty of fungal skin infection, ointment containing 1% hydrocortisone and ketoconazole/miconazole can be applied locally.
In non responding cases, oral antifungals can be given with physician's prescription.
-Give him loose and cotton underwear to wear.

Hope this information helps.
Thanks.
