What Causes Persistent Itching On The Back And Shoulders?

Hello, I ve been itching now for about 3 weeks, it started in the center of my back and under my shoulder blades, now its the back and front of my neck, arms, hands, etc. I can be sitting watching TV and feel a little itch, scratch it, and it really starts itching after that. I ve changed sheets on our bed, vacuumed and dusted the whole house thinking it might be fleas or something like that. Even after a shower I itch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to fungal infection.

Fungal infection may be due to hot and humid environment. For that you can apply clotrimazole ointment. For itching you can tab loratidine.

Maintain proper hygiene. Avoid allergens. Use loose cotton clothes

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
