What Causes Persistent Left Knee Pain?

I have been having left knee pain for 9 months. It swells on the 2 oclock position and 5 oclock position if you were looking at it. It hurts on occasion but it is unbearable if I kneel on it. When it really bother, climbing stairs is also very painful. I do not remember any injury to it. I am a little overweight. I have iced it and taken advil. Is this something that will go away on its own or should I see a specialist?

Dear Friend, greetings. Yes I read your question. You need to give complete rest to your leg. No lifting weight, No sitting down or climbing stairs . use knee cap walk with s support.
Could be ligament tear . if pain is severe take TAB. TOLPA D . if no imptovement after one month, you might have to meet your orthopedic surgeon.
Thank you and do contact us for more questions.
