Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
DEAR DR. i am a male 24 years old. i had an accident lately and had an operation in my head.the outer bone covering the temporal area broke and i had to put and artificial one instead.thankgod ,i amanged to recover.i consider it a miracle. the doctor prescribed epanutin for 3 months (3 capsules per day) and i have beentaking it for one month but constant leg cramps are making walking very painful and hard. i tried to decrease the cramps by using muscle relieving gels for massage and i am taking magnesium and vitamin b6 supplements to help. i am trying to exercise and walk slowly but nothing is working. i decided to decrease the dose to 2 capsules per day 2 days ago but still nothing better. are the cramps caused by the medication epanutin and how can i decrease the leg cramps? the doctor asked for a blood test but i still did not get the results but i can not wait until the results get out. is there a way to decrease the pain and do you have an idea about what is happening to my legs. Thank you.
