I was wondering what causes a person to have constant loose mucus stools. I ve been having this problem for years until one day Ihad to be rushed to hospital and had to have surgery for bowel obstruction and then later another surgery for periforated bowel. Then after that I had a ileostomy done. Two years has past now, and I just had the ileosomy reversed. But I still have loose stools with mucus. Also, my bowels have always been with urgency. Doctors was guessing that possibly diverticulitus is what caused the damage to my bowel. So I was just wondering why am I still have loose slimy stools right after I eat and randomly during the day and night.
