What Causes Persistent Lower Back Pain And Tail Bone Pain?
I have chronic low back and tailbone pain for over 20 yrs and was dig nosed with osteoporosis 6 yrs ago which we have been treating and I now have osteopenia. In November 2014 I was diagnosed with Graves disease and hyperthyroidism which has been treated and I now am in hypothyroidism. My chronic back pain is a mystery, 24/7 pain. I am wondering is osteoporosis/pinia, thyroid and graves is contributing to the back pain and if so, has it caused fractures that Drs can t see ... Drs say spine looks good but I a,must ill in pain
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent lower back pain and tail bone pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like traumatic injury to the area of tailbone like a sudden blow or fall, long hours of sitting in wrong posture or bending to lift heavy weight .
I would suggest you to consult an chiropractor and get evaluated and he can advise you x ray, MRI Scan of the area, to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly. You can be advised to take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, take muscle relaxants like Chlorzoxasasone, warm compresses.
you can also be advised physiotherapy ,which will be very helpful. You can also be advised to sit of a soft cushioned surface and avoid very long sitting hours and wrong posture . You can also be advised steroid injection.
Doctor may also recommend stretching exercises , which your should do under expert .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
