E.mail: YYYY@YYYY Cell:0000 C.B.MATHUR Age:64yrs/Ht.:5 6 /Wt:57kg I have been diagnosed with Lumbago Sciatica and marginal osteophytosis. Problem has been there for almost 6 months. Medication Taken:Pregablin 75mg OD ME 12 OD Chymoral AP BD I have been on the above medication for almost 2 months and also tried Physiotherapy but to NO EFFECT. Kindly help Thanks
The Pregabalin and Chymoral do not offer best analgesic action needed in case of severe symptoms of lumbar sciatica and osteophytes in the spinal cord. Following measures will help you: - Postural adaptations to avoid painful gestures - Avoid sudden bending and weight lifting - Continue physiotherapy - Local application of heating pad - Use of analgesic spray or ointment containing Capsaicin, Linseed oil, Diclofenac with menthol - Analgesic medications such as tramadol hydrochloride after meals if no history of drug sensitivity
- Control of blood sugar - Homeostasis maintenance of calcium and vitamin D if needed with additional supplements - Avoid smoking if involved
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
