What Causes Persistent Mild Fever With Fatigue And Blurred Vision?

Hi, I m 45 almost 46 year old female, white, Slavic ancestry, 5 10 , 160lbs, and I am experiencing a low grade fever for about the last 10 to 14 days (99ish), debilitating fatigue (bed ridden for about 4 days straight last week), blurred vision, have a hard time putting my words together, difficulty breathing (oxygen saturation is perfect though 97-99), and my blood pressure has been spiking a bit if I push myself (150/99), but normally my blood pressure runs 117/76 to 120/84ish (pre-hypertensive), so I have to be careful with the beta blocker that they have me on now, Propranolol 20mg, because if I take it when it s on the low end, it will make me dizzy. I started experiencing and was diagnosed with chronic migraines as soon as I started my new job in October of 2013, and despite neurological intervention and a gazillion different types of ineffective meds, I ve had the migraines ever since, now just use Excedrin Migraine again or Butalbital once in a great while, depending on the severity. I always ran 135lbs or less for years, but after 6 months on Amitriptyline in 2014, my weight shot up and I haven t been able to get it down ever since (quit the Amitriptyline in January of 2015 then enjoyed the company of a gastro doc because the stomach withdrawals from it left us wondering if I had a tear in my stomach lining - it was just the med, $3k later). Let s just say that most days of the month I have a regular tension headache, the computer at work is one of my greatest triggers. I have one doctor that found Epstein Barr in my chart on 7-5-16 and went right to that as a diagnosis, but then his partner told me the other day that she totally disagreed with him, that my most recent blood draw shows a negative result for a present EBV issue. My thyroid tested perfectly normal. I have had some issues with hypoglycemia. An EKG of my heart two days ago showed no acute issues, but they thought it would be wise to send me for a stress test because I complained of numbness and tingling in my extremities, so planning on doing that this week I think. Have a CT scan appointment tomorrow, just in case it has something to do with the migraines, albeit I do not have a headache today. I m starting to wonder though if it may have something to do with pre-menopause and if I should be looking at this differently. I had an ablation in 2011 because I was bleeding for 45 days straight then started pouring blood like crazy back then, didn t have time to go through with a partial hysterectomy so that s what I chose. As of recently I have a bloated stomach with no pain though and have a brown sort of discharge once about every 6 months, my OB said that sounded normal. Can t take hormones of any kind at all, make me absolutely a crying, depressed, moody angry wreck - OB said 10 years ago that she refuses to try hormone therapy with me at I agree (you ve never seen anything like it!). I ve been scouring the internet trying to figure out what this could be, but all I can get to is Chronic Fatigue, the fever is the puzzling point but I m reading that some pre-menopausal women have a sort of chronic low grade fever. Do you have any thoughts on what I could be dealing with?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The persistent fatigue is most likely related to low hemoglobin level as there is history of high bleeding for 45 days straight. Kindly get an evaluation of complete blood counts including hemoglobin, wbc counts for best reasoning and care accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
