What Causes Persistent Nasal Congestion While Treating Sinusitis?

Hi, I have a sinus / allergy problem since last year June 15, it is constant not when season changes, it is every day. It sound like I have a constant cold with a blocked nose, but my nose is not blocked at all. I also have no pain under eyes or above eyes or the normal pain that sinus people have. I notice that some days I cannot smell anything, not my perfume, not food whilst cooking, nothing at all. Then when I will sniff then something smells bad/funny but when asking people around me they cannot smell something bad/funny what I'm smelling. What can I used to stop that, or do I have to go and see a doctor? Kind regards

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like you have blocked sinuses that can be probably due to Sinus Infection or Sinusitis..
Even if you are known allergic then it can also be a cause..
Soy suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
You can be advised a sinus x-ray and an allergy test to rule out the exact cause of the problem and appropriate treatment can be done according to it..
As of now take decongestants nasal spray like Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline.
Do steam inhalation and saline nasal irrigation..
Use a humidifier in your room..
Take antihistamine like Levocetrizine..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
