What Causes Persistent Nausea Along With Vomiting And Diarrhoea?

My sister is 43 yrs old and has been throwing up constantly. It s not food poisoning. She has had problems with her kidneys in the past. Her doctors say she may have lupus or some sign of lupus but she has not been diagnosed as having it by testing her blood. I m not sure what you can do for her without actually seeing her in an office type of thing. But she has nausea, vomiting constantly and diarrhea as well. I am getting worried. What can you do? She has had tests done with her gastrointestinal doctor to find out what the problem could be. So far nobody knows. Can you help? I have done research online and can not find any answers.

I warmly Welcome you to HCM.

Yes its difficult to treat without actually seeing her. But you are already on the right lines and I am here to help her giving a second opinion on what her Gastroentrologist is going to do with her.

She may be having an Obstruction of the intestinal tract due to which there are issues like that. Kidney disease also may lead to nausea and vomiting due to accumulation of waste products in body. Her Physician must have gone for GI Endoscopy to rule out a lot of different causes for her symptoms.

When you get the lab reports her Gastroentrologist advised, you may upload them for my review. I will be in a better better position to help her once the Labs are in front of me. Write down my name in start of your question next time here at this forum. Or go to my profile and click on "Ask me a question" for more direct help.
