Should I be concerned about nausea and clamy skin hours after allergy shots? I told my doctor I felt sick hours after my first allergy shot. (Felt fine for the 30 minute wait in the office after the shot) The sign on the doctors office says nausea may be a reaction to allergy shots. I ve googled it and many people seem to be reporting nausea after a ragweed allergy shot. (My shots are for ragweed, mold, and mesquite). Yet, my doctor insists that it must be something I ate or a fear of needles. I do not have any fear of needles. I ve explained that I had to have blood drawn once a month for over a year. I was such a regular they brought in nurses in training to practice on me. I never even flinched and watched the whole time. I even had a nurse in training miss my vain so many times that they told her to just stop trying. Poor thing looked embarassed. I assured her she d eventually learn. The entire time I did not feel nausea or like I was going to faint and I never felt sick hours later. I also ate the same food as several other people and no one else was sick. It s very frustrating when the doctor s response is basically, I haven t seen that reaction before to such a low dose so it must be in your head. Yes, I imagined sitting by the toilet for 2 hours. I made my stomach hurt for fun. *Eye roll I d love to hear what an experienced doctor thinks. From searching online it sounds like the nausea will fade over time as my body builds up a tolerance, so that sounds promising. Just want to make sure there s nothing I should be doing or be worried about or if I just need to ride it out? Thank you so much!
