What Causes Persistent Nausea, Dizziness And Headache?
I have been experiencing bouts of moderate to severe nausea, dizziness, headache and elevated blood pressure. Nothing consistent. No changes in diet. This has been going on for about three weeks. I have spoken to my doctor about it (I work in a family practice office), but we have not made time for an appointment. Any ideas?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM There are just so may medical conditions that may give you such presentation. An idea of your sex and age would have been very helpful. However, possible causes may include: -Pregnancy if you are female and of reproductive age -Visceral disease. -Toxic substance/drugs effects/metabolic conditions. -Central nervous system disease. -Psychiatric illness. I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation and investigations.Depending on the diagnostic orientation of the Doctor, test may be requested to help identify the exact cause of your problem.Test like full blood count, typhoid test, malaria test, stool exam, abdominal ultrasound, brain scan and others may be requested depending on the diagnostic orientation of your Doctor. In the meantime, while waiting on your Doctor, i will suggest you *Take a pain drug like paracetamol *Multivitamins *Eat well and healthy *Rest well Hope this will help Best regards
