What Causes Persistent Nausea, Vomiting And Weakness?

Friend is nauseous everyday for last 7 days. He is vomiting almost every day now. His stomach is only distended when he feels sick but fine other times of the day. No blood in stool or tar like appearance. Eats 3 meals when feeling well and can go a day without being ill. No specific food seems to be a trigger and he has no known food allergies. Trying to convince him to see a doctor and to get an idea of what may be wrong. He is of a healthy weight, active, non smoker, very light drinker.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to gastritis.

For vomiting you can take tablet ondensetron and syp. mucaine gel after consultation.

I would suggest you to consult with family physician. He may procure complete hemogram, ultrasound abdomen as per evaluation.

Along with that, avoid hot and spicy foods. Take light foods. Avoid smoking and alcohol.

In case of not getting relief, you may require upper GI endoscopy after gastroenterologist consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
