General & Family Physician 's  Response
You have not described the exact location of your leg pain. It can be due to some ligament tears or may be from muscular origin if it is acute in onset. Gradually incresing pain can be due to accumulation of uric acid at muscle exercise. Serum uric acid level test may help in this purpose to detect.
Mild muscular pain can be relieved by resting that muscle for a couple of days. Local diclofenac gel with hot compression may help.
As this pain is increasing by time there may be a chance of ligament injury as it is common in players. Proper clinical examination is necessary to suspect and MRI can diagnose it. There may be a restricted movement of joint.
Its recommended to visit a doctor as ligament tear can create problems for a long time if not properly managed.
