What Causes Persistent Pain And Pressure In The Spine Post Injury?

Wednesday I jolted my head side to side a bit hard not smart I know. I went to the doctor Thursday and he said I just pulled a muscle, but it s just been getting worse since, the bottom base of my head hurts and the top of my spine all the way to the bottom. The top is a constant pressure and pinching feeling then in the middle of my spine it feels like a pinching and aching. And the pain at the base of my head is just a pain feeling and a mix of pressure feeling and aching. My collar bone has also started hurting today to. Does this sound like a spine injury? It s not excruciating pain but it definitely hurts. If you had a spinal injury you wouldn t be able to walk right? I m also really tired feeling.

Hi
please do not neglect and get a MRI done
see a orthopedic doctor and for acute pain you can take some analgesics and cold compression
Use ice
After an acute injury, such as an ankle sprain, back sprain as in your case or after activities that aggravate a chronic injury, such as shin splints

Use an ice bag with cubed ice, ice pack or ice massage. When using an ice pack that does not have real ice cubes, use a thin towel between the ice pack and the skin to prevent frostbite

Do not use ice longer than 20 minutes at a time. More time spent icing does not mean more relief. Be sure the area goes numb, then make sure the skin returns completely back to normal before reapplying
