What Causes Persistent Pain And Swelling In The Jaw?
I ve had a swollen lymph node and swollen left face at the same time. The Surgeon removed the lump which was benign but he said it was a lot like a small clot. At the same time I have been having headaches on that side of my head. My neurologist sent me for an MRI to make sure I was wasn t having an aneurism. Any thoughts? The left jaw swelling and pain is still there.
There can be related issue with the salivary gland swelling and nerve involvement as fascial, trigeminal or else. Kindly consult neurologist in follow up for the discussion of such possibilities and need of nerve conduction study to get further insight of the issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
