What Causes Persistent Pain And Swelling In The Shin Post Self Injury?

Banged my right shin hard against the base of a heavy wrought iron coat stand 10 days ago. It was painful after bruising went down ..still sore & swollen. Went to walk in centre & diagnosed with cellulitis ....3 days on.. after taking given antibiotics...it s still painful. Could it be a fracture?
