What Causes Persistent Pain At The Incision Scar After Tubal Ligation?

I had a tubal ligation in March. about 4 months after my incision scar and the left side of my pelvic area began to have a sharp, persisting pain. I have a high tolerance for pain since I am severally allergic to most pain killers I have to be. I even insisted on no pain killers during the tubal ligation itself. But after a month of this continual sharp pain, it has begun to wear me down. I avoid anything that may cause a pressing or pulling to the area of any kind. What could possibly be causing the pain?
