What Causes Persistent Pain Between Ribcage And Top Of Pelvis?

I have a pain that is constant in the area between where my ribcage ends and the top of my pelvis on the left side. Over the course of several years I have had an colonoscopy and an endoscopy and been told that they are clear, but the pain persists. I have periods where it eases and then times as now when it is constant. I would be grateful for your opinion as doctors here always leave me with no answers as to what the problem is.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the pain between rib cage and top of pelvis can be part of possible gravels or calculus in the urinary system.

As the intra-luminal causes are ruled out with colonoscopy and endoscopy, it is recommended to discuss the need of an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis with or without CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
