Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Pain In Abdomen Along With Nausea?
I woke up Saturday morning in serious pain that covered my entire stomach. I was nauseated throughout the day but never developed loose stool. Today the pain itself is better but my stomach is sore to the touch. I had a case of intessecption ( so?) about 5 years ago but it worked itself out. Could I be dealing with the same thing?
Hi, From history it suggests that there is nausea without motion, severe abdominal pain and h/o intusucception in the past indicates that there might be having same problem again. There can be possibility of having sub acute obstruction of intestines. Consult Gastroenterologist as soon as possible and go for examination and investigations like ultra sound abdomen, X-ray of abdominal on standing position for step ladder pattern of fluid for having intestinal obstruction or intusucception. Ok and take care.
