What Causes Persistent Pain In Ears In Spite Of Taking Antibiotics?

My granddaughter (8 years old) had an ear infection. She has been on antibiotic for 3 days, but is still complaining of an ear ache. When I look in her ear canal with a flashlight it looks like there is something shiny and striped down in the canal. Should I be patient and let the antibiotic have more time or take her back to the doctor?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the otalgia (Eat pain) so it may not be due to infection but it can be without the infection it is advisable to get it examined with ENT surgeon because ENT surgeon would be the last judge to know what is inside the ear canal hope this information helps.
