What Causes Persistent Pain In Heel?

I am a 64 year old woman who is experiencing pain in my heel for over three weeks. Might have injured it by too much walking. Hurts mostly when I walk. Wondering if it is plantar fasciitis or maybe a bone spur. Would taking a calcium supplement like Bonexin or Ezorb be helpful and without side-effects?
