What Causes Persistent Pain In Left Hip Radiating Towards Left Knee?
Alasalam alikom; Iam A pediatrician & my wife is 30 years old with sever pain since 4 years in left hip with no positive findings in MRI or lab. Results. Pain increased too much and extended to the left knee. Now CT proved sclerosis in acetabulum of left hip. Help us what can we do and proper management to relif her pain
Dear Colleague, I think she might be suffering from 1. Osteoid osteoma 2. Femoroacetabular impingement predominantly pincer type. If MRI studies are more than two yrs old and if it is not MRI arthrogram these two things will not be detected. Let me know 1. if the pain is radiating along the front of thigh or back of the thigh. 2.If it is brought about by certain movements 3.if it is worst in the early morning or night and gets relieved by NSAIDs. 4.Was there any restriction of the movements of the hip joint prior to the complaints. I will be able to guide you about future course of action once I come know the reply.
