What Causes Persistent Pain In Left Rib Area Of The Back?

The last two days I have had a pain in my left rib area in back. It only hurts when I lean over or get up from sitting position and roll over if sleeping. I dont remember twisting it or lifting anything to strain the muscle there. I have no cough and no problem breathing.
