What Causes Persistent Pain In My Left Upper Premolar-molar Area Despite Normal Dental Exams And Bruxism Treatment?
hi, I am getting pain in left upper premolar-molar are for no reason, only while biting. Went to dentist, but they are saying its clinically healthy, x-rays are also normal. One doctor identified it could be due to pressure points formed due to bruxism and has reduced them. I felt better, but the pain is coming again. It s not resolved completely. Can you please help me what it could be? Second issue is I am getting shock if I hum and my upper and lower premolar-molar area touch each other and I attempt to hum voice out. What could be the reason for this shock while singing?
This may be due to neuralgia, sinusitis and fracture in tooth. Neuralgia can cause a shocking pain lasting for few seconds to minutes. Sinusitis in the maxillary sinus can cause pain in molar premolar area. Fracture in teeth can also cause pain.
I think you have not been properly assessed and diagnosed by dentist. Either share details with me like duration of pain, if you feel any electric current like pain, pain during bending down and any persistent pain lasting for few minutes to hours.
Do you have any anxiety disorder as it can sometimes result in jaw pain. I also feel you may require CBCT for diagnosis. Either consult an experienced oral medicine specialist and do share my response with him. I am sure it will help you in diagnosis and treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
