Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Jaw pain similar to when you blow up a baloon and a weird pain occurs.. but I get it when I drink Caffeine, alcohol , energy bars, even chocolate. I cannot smoke or drink red wine either. I have been suffering from bruxism for awhile now but I was able to do all of the above only 3 years ago..now it just causes me pain. It also affects my face cavities to hurt What do I do?
Hi there. Thank you for posting your question with Healthcaremagic. I will do my best to help you.
What you describe here sounds like a problem in your temporomandibular joints -- either in the joint itself or its capsule. Any good NSAI will help this along. If not you may need intra-articular steroid injections.
This does not explain your wine intolerance which I do not have an answer for.
I hope that I have answered your questions fully and been of some help. If you have anymore questions please contact me again anytime.
