What Causes Persistent Pain In Neck Along With Leg Pain And Night Sweats?
Hi. Im 54 years old. I ve been having pain in the area of my thyroid. For about a month. It is an uncomfortableness in the neck . Having trouble getting to sleep, staying asleep, leg pain at night!, have hair loss, hoarseness, hot flashes, night sweats. I haven t had my period since this past May.
considering your age and symptoms there is a great chance that you are suffering from symptoms of menopause i.e. end of your reproductive cycles. almost every woman have these symptoms of hot flushes ,sleep disturbances, irregularities in cycles and night sweats etc. these changes are due to change in levels of hormones such as estrogens and progesterone. you need to consult a gynaecologist to rule out other causes and need to get HRT(hormone replacement therapy). this will reduce your symptoms and help you to have a smooth transition towards menopause. I hope my answer is helpful. kind regards dr Fouzia
