Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Pain In Right Side Abdomen?
I ve been having an abdominal pain in upper right side since last Friday a.m.. The pain is usually worse in the evening after a meal. The pain is persistent, waking up in the middle of night usually 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. Have been taking Extra St. Tynerol, 2 tabs in that case to go back to sleep again.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, I read your query carefully. I really appreciate your concern regarding this issue. As per details you are suffering from pain right upper quadrant mostly after meal. This area is mostly concernd with the pain of Gall bladder. I can not comment on it without Ultrasound Abdomen. I Would Suggest you to visit hospital and go for Ultrasound abdomen to rule out the status of Gall Bladder and liver. I would advise you some lab investigations like Liver function test and fasting lipid profile. Avoid Fatty diet. And do not treat your self with pain killers. Go for ultrasound and then consult with Physician or write again.
Hope so it will be helpful. You can write again in case of any query or follow up. Wish you Good health. Regards
