Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Pain In The Forearm And Wrist?
Hi I fell yesterday during a basketball game indoors and my wrist broke my fall. My wrist along with my forearm hurts a lot whenever I use my left arm at all. I am curious what my problem is exactly called. I think it could be something with my blood veins but I have no idea at all. May you help me determine what this is?
Based on the history you have shared, you need to have an orthopedician review, and X-ray hands and wrist joint may also be needed. At times hairline fracture in carpal bones may present with such symptoms however tendon injury or muscle sprain should also be considered. Using OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
