What Causes Persistent Pain In The Gums?

Hi,
For the past week or so, i have been having a strong aching soreness in my gums (top and bottom) on my right side. Not sure if its the gums or the bone underneath, because they are not sensitive to the touch. I have been taking ibuprofen for general pain relief and soaking with hot salt water in addition to my normal brushing/flossing/mouthwash. There is no apparrent swelling or discoloration.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain it seems that there is infection in gums leading to inflammation of gums and due to this there is feeling of soreness in the gums and it is not necessary that there is always swelling or discoloration as pain and soreness is also an indication of infection..
You should consult a dentist and get evaluated and in case of infection Scaling following by antibiotics like Amoxicillin and Metronidazole and painkillers like Ibuprofen if there is pain along with gum paint and chewable Vitamin C tablet can be advised..

Hope this information helps..

If you find the answer helpful please give me a Five Star Review and click on found the answer helpful as a token of appreciation..
