Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent pain in the left ear which can occur due to accumulation of ear wax, ear fluid and to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry. Visit ENT specialist once. Doctor may prescribe drug like eperisone , muscle relaxant and sedatives. Maintain hygiene and avoid pricking it with sharp object. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Apply dry warm compresses to ear externally and cover your ear while bathing. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , may prescribe medicine antibiotics.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
