What Causes Persistent Pain In The Upper Left Thigh?
I am having daily pain in my upper left thigh. I had a medial meniscus repair a year ago on my left knee and I have had pain since then. The ortho told me before the repair that I had degenerative changes (bone on bone )in my left knee but I never had pain until after the repair. I am on Plavix a two 81mg asa per day for heart stents and have been checked for a clot. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
- neurogenic pain due to nerve pinching like sciatica.
-Degenerative changes causing hip joint pain as a cause of your problem. MRI of the region would confirm the cause followed by specific treatment advised by an orthopaedic surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
