What Causes Persistent Pressure And Pain In Head?

I have had a pressure headache for about 3 weeks. I am peri-menopausal. My ENT Dr. ruled out sinus headache. I am also fatigued. My thyroid is normal (just had blood work done) I have always been slightly anemic. It is so annoying and interfering with my mood and my daily activity. It started when I tried and anti depressant at the beginning of December (which I took for 2 days then immediately stopped). Do you think this could be hormones? Should I see an neurologist?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Headaches can occur in perimenopause in some women, so it is possible that it is related.

A neurologist is a good option. He or she would be able to conduct a full neurological examination to see if the exact cause of the headache can be determined.
Imaging such as a CT scan, may be suggested.

The main types of headaches are migraines, sinus, tension, cluster, due to trauma, due to a mass/pressure

I hope this helps
