What Causes Persistent Rashes On The Arms And Swollen Lymph Nodes?

My husband has a rash that he has had for 5 months. It was a fine pimply rash. Now the spots are larger about 8-10mm round reddish to purple spots. All over his trunk arms back and genitals. He has a fine peeling rash on his lower arms and back. It itches incredibly bad to the point where he is bruising himself scratching. He does have swollen lymph nodes that I can feel. Larger ones in his neck but also chest, arm pit and groin. When this started he was treated for scabies. That did nothing. Then he was treated for folliculitis. He has had several rounds of steroids over the months. We saw a dermatologist that biopsied an area and said it was eosinophilic so we are seeing an allergist. He had a reaction about a month ago that caused hives and angioedema and required hospitalization. Currently they are treating again for folliculitis. All lab work is good except elevated eosinophils and monocytes. Any ideas?
